Company Profile
In 1926 four brothers: Leonard, Raymond, Hobart and Wilburn Townsend formed the Townsend Insurance Agency. Sometime later Wilburn acquired the agency from the other brothers. Wilburne owned and operated the business until his death in 1969. At this time, his daughter Janell Evans and her husband Jim Evans assumed ownership. Townsend-Evans Insurance was born.
Jim Evans has worked in the business for over 40 years. His experience and leadership have helped the agency to continue thriving through some tough years. In 1996 Jim was joined by his son, Alan Evans, to continue the family history of the business.
Diann Floyd has served as the company bookkeeper for 39 years.
Amy Price is a personal lines agent with the company and she has worked with the firm for 16 years.
